This chuck guard comes in three sizes and is designed for lathes with chuck sizes from 600mm up to 1000mm diameter.   The guard has a unique extra hinged front access section for chuck key access without opening up the whole guard.   This front access section is monitored by an extra safety micro switch.   The guard is supplied with a centre rear support post as per the illustration and two off 2NC safety micro switches.   This guard is often mounted via a floor mounted post but comes complete with brackets suitable for headstock mounting on most lathes.  Note that size designations refer to inside diameter of guard and extra allowance needs to be made for clearance around the chuck including any protruding jaws. * * see entry for SafeInd Category 4 Control Box.
